The soldier

There is a special breed of person
Who sees their life bigger than they are,
A commitment stronger than we can imagine
willing to give their life in the name of freedom.
What makes this special person choose to do this
To fight for their country willing to die,
A greater sense of self and pride within
To protect the values the country provides?
The value taken in the desire to protect
Is about a life willing to give,
To his brothers and sisters who belong
To this wonderful country we sing a song.
The soldier puts on a uniform and protection
To help them to be safe no matter what direction,
Unforunately we cannot always prevent harm coming
Which can result in a life quiet, not returning.
As this soldier stands before God in this new form
Jesus tells him, "Well done my faithful serant",
You were willing to die for mankind because you love
As I was willing to die for mankind for their salvation.
